Funding delayed...
by News Department on 07/09/15Reimbursement for construction projects at eight school districts in Schuylkill County have been placed on hold due to the governor’s recent budget veto.
Sen. David Argall said in a press release that the reimbursements are dedicated to new school construction or improvements of existing facilities, but unfortunately, the governor’s veto will leave school districts waiting for reimbursement from the state.
Under the state’s Planning and Construction Workbook, school districts receive a portion of funding for new construction from the state, according to a press release from Argall’s office.
According to a press release the Senate- and House-passed a budget package that included $5.3 billion of reimbursements for 547 school construction projects across the state.
